Which device?
- Open Settings and tap Screen Time. Turn it on if it is off.
- Tap Content & Privacy Restrictions and switch it on.
- Tap App Store, Media, Web & Games (called Content Restrictions on older iOS), then Web Content.
- Choose Limit Adult Websites. Add any extra site you want gone under Never Allow.
- Go back to Screen Time and tap Lock Screen Time Settings (on older iOS: Use Screen Time Passcode) to set a passcode.
Make it stick
Let a person you trust type the Screen Time passcode, so you don't know it. That one step stops most late-night undoing.
When the urge comes anyway
A filter removes easy access; it doesn't stop the urge. Essence doesn't block anything. It gives you a panic button for the next few minutes and shows when and why relapses happen.
